  Waretown Magic Wash

  Horrible!!!

  “If I could give this place a Zero instead of a star I would do so. I paid for an $11.00 ultimate car wash, the top one at this place, and no sooner did I enter the automatic wash - it broke down! I have left more than 9 voicemail messages for the owner, via two different phone numbers, contacted the NJ BBB about this place, and then the owner contacted me. He promised to refund my money by check within two days of his contact, but after 4 additional days, a total of 10 days since this fiasco occurred, there is no check/refund of my money to be had. My advice to you is this - go somewhere else! If you find yourself in my position you may as well just check this off as a bad investment because you will NEVER get a refund! A Horrible Way to treat a customer, especially one who had been going to this carwash for more than 13 years!”

  Terrible Experience

  “I got an oil change here. The next day I noticed a large puddle of oil on my garage floor. I checked the oil, it was dry. I brought the car to my trusted mechanic. He inspected it and found that there was no o-ring on the filter. He also degreased the underside of my car as it was covered in the oil that had leaked as I drove it. He charged me $91 for his service. I returned to Jersey shine and lube and told them my problem. The owner asked why I didn't bring it to them to check out the problem. I explained that I was afraid to drive the car because I didn't want to damage the engine. I showed him my receipt and told him I'd like him to reimburse me for the original oil change and also my mechanics charges, which totalled $137.35. He argued that he had no way of knowing that what I told him was the truth. I indicated that the mechanic who fixed the problem was a reputable local businessman and suggested he call him. He declined. I asked if he thought I was making this up and he replied, Yes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there is no further damage to my engine in the future.”

  The best in town!!

  “Butch's offers a great value for a car wash. You aren't stuck buying some package either. You can pick and choose what you need/want off their al la carte menu. Also your car is not attacked by a group of people. One individual attendant pulls your car out and sees to your personal needs or requests. They also have change oil and have a detail shop with very fair prices. Family owned for 41 years, this is my pick for the best car wash in the Monmouth County area.”

  “This place is a total rip-off. The owner overcharged me for an air filter. Quoted one price by the service technician and charged another at the register. The owner was totally non-responsive when I called to express my dissatisfaction.\nI will never go to this place again.”
